In spite of the fact that Alco had a litigation hold policy in place, someone was asleep at the wheel. There were several serious issues: Alco issued the holds after litigation had begun, did not make the holds broad enough, and did not enforce holds when key employees deleted relevant data."

Novell GroupWise Messenger nmma.exe DoS Vulnerability
According to iDefense remote exploitation of a DoS vulnerability in Novell's GroupWise Messenger could allow attackers to crash the Messenger server. The vulnerability specifically exists due to improper handling of a an HTTP POST request with a modified 'val' parameter. When such a request is received, a NULL pointer dereference occurs, leading to a crash of the service. More information on the iDefense website, NIST and Secunia Advisory SA22244.
