Measure real Post Office database size with Redline
GroupWise can report on how much Disk Space is still available on a partition, with GWCheck you can determine how much space all users use in their mailbox, but there is no way to get data about how much space the Post Office database is using all together, including BLOB files which are not linked to any message any more, logfiles, problem files etc. Redline get's the real database size every night at 3:00am and provides this value in the Control Center. On the Status Tab for every Post Office you can see the real database size.

If you define a graph with the value poaDatabseSize and draw this graph over the last week, month and year, you have a very cool view on how your Post Office is growing over time. If you configure this graph in the main configuration of Redline, a separate graph for every Post Office is drawn.

Based on that information you can calculate when your need to add more disk space, or you can decide if you need to enable a stronger Mailbox space limitation, move other data to other partitions etc. You might be surprised to see how fast your Post Office databases are growing over time.
