define exception list according to subject
Submitted by juniour on December 6, 2006 - 7:31am.
Hello,
We use GWAVA to block the spam mails. However we wolud like some addresses mustn't put in the block list. To do this we use Exception in GWAVA configuration. But in exception list we must write the from address. We would like to email adress according to subject lines. Because. the mail goups are written in Subject line.
How can I define the email group which is written in subject in exception list?
Thanks...

a few ideas
Hi Juniour,
Thanks for the posting.
There would be a few things here that we would need to know before moving forward.
First: How are these messages getting blocked? Is it the same "block reason" every time or are there several block reasons?
There is no exception by subject per se, but we could easily write a negative anti-spam rule that would prevent certain subjects from getting blocked.
If you know what will be in the subject of these messages then we can certainly do it that way.
Please let me know what you think & feel free to email directly for more information.
Regards,
Taylor
Exclusion for List groups
If you don't want Mail groups like Yahoo to be blocked, then you can examine the MIME header and you will find a group sepcific X-flag in most cases.
Create a rule in Smartblocker, which looks for this tag in the MIME header and give enough neg. points to have the message pass the threshold.
